The Unconditional Love of God

Have you ever really asked yourself, “Is the love of God really unconditional?” Most people vehemently affirm that His love is, while countless others still believe that His love is on condition. However, we know from both testaments that God has always revealed Himself as a God who loves unconditionally. The unconditional love of God is revealed in Jesus Christ.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (KJV)

While the world went astray, God demonstrated His great love through sending Jesus Christ for man’s sin. But, we must remember that the unconditional love of God towards us does not free man from God’s conditions as it pertains to salvation. The unconditional love of God makes it possible for man to receive the conditional terms of salvation; which is SIMPLE, believe on Jesus Christ.

Do not confuse the unconditional love of God with the conditional terms of salvation. God loves freely but commands that all who would experience His loveĀ  fully come by and through Jesus Christ. The love of God is unconditional, yet His plan of salvation is upon the condition of faith in the work of His Son. Remember, it is the unconditional love of God that makes it possible for ALL to receive redemption in Christ.
